This department plans and executes a wide range of community events throughout the year to promote the Arts, theater, family and music activities. Our diverse programming is designed to appeal to the entire community and bring people together. We also provide assistance to local organizations for their annual Hoboken events.

Movies Under the Stars - New schedule tba
These FREE Outdoor Movie Screenings overlooking the beautiful Hudson River. All viewing takes place in Pier A Park, on the park’s Great Lawn. The park is located on First and Frank Sinatra Drive.
Family Fun Nights - New schedule tba
Outdoor Performances specific to children, held at Shipyard Park, located at 13th Street & McFeeley Drive behind the King’s Supermarket.
Concerts in the Park - Begins June 10, 2010
These FREE Outdoor Summer Performances will be held Thursday evenings at 7 pm at the Amphitheater at Sinatra Park, located on Frank Sinatra Dr. between 4th and 5th Streets.

Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse in partnership with the City of Hoboken and Downtown Boathouse of New York City will host free Kayaking Days throughout the summer at Maxwell Place Park near the intersection of Sinatra Drive and Maxwell Place. Click link for Schedule

These FREE Outdoor Performances will be held at two distinct waterfront parks. Select viewings take place in the Shipyard Park, located at 13th Street & McFeeley Drive. (behind Kings Supermarket) as well as at the Frank Sinatra Park Amphitheater located on Franks Sinatra Drive between 4th and 5th Streets.

Free self-guided walking tour of artists’ studio and community gallery spaces.

Ragamuffin Parade & Costume Contest- New date TBA
Sunday October 31, Begins at 1pm Line of march begins at 12:15pm on Washington Street bet. 13th & 14th Street featuring bands, floats and more. Followed by costume contest at Little League Field on 5th St. & River Terrace. Prizes awarded in five age categories.
Holiday Tree Lighting - New date TBA
Tuesday Dec. 7th; begins at 5:30pm
in front of Hoboken City Hall, 94 Washington Street
performances of popular Holiday songs by chorus’ from local schools as well as an appearance by Elvis the Elf & Santa Claus
Holiday Craft Fair - New date TBA
Saturday & Sunday Dec. ; from 11am to 5pm at Hoboken City Hall, 94 Washington Street, all 3 floors;
